Our estate wines are a passion project that grew out of a firm belief that hardwork and beautiful grapes are not meant to be wasted. We began collaborating with family friend and renown local winemaker, Linda Donovan in 2010.
With over 50 years of history in the Applegate Valley, Vidlak Family Vineyards brings a wealth of experience and a deep-rooted love for Southern Oregon to each bottle. Our wines are meticulously crafted and hand-picked on our stunning property, reflecting the unique terroir and devotion to quality.
The Walport family settled in the Applegate Valley after the 1994 Northridge earthquake caused a fire destroying their home, but leaving the family uninjured. Bruce and Judy started their journey here with cattle, and after many years, their son Eric left for college.
After graduating from college on the east coast, future wine maker Carla David was torn between pursuing work in her field of study and apprenticing at an organic farm. She chose farming to pursue her love of plants and herbalism.
